For years the owner of Pie Chicks, Chrissy Kinsman, has been wanting a space where she can move from selling wholesale pies and baked goods to retail. Finally, the opportunity came, and she and her dynamic team opened Pie Chicks on State Road in Vineyard Haven.

WE LOVE MV: Pie Chicks Opens Its Bakery In Vineyard Haven – So Much More Than Pies

So we all know that Pie Chicks makes great pies, but they are so much more than that. Their new bakery allows us to sample their other baked goodness, 7 days a week!

Of course, you can get pies, but there are also biscuits, tarts (sell out very quickly), hand pies, scones, coffee (Chilmark Coffee) and more. You can order from the window and enjoy your tasty treats on their patio, take them to go or opt for contactless curbside pick-up.

WE LOVE MV: Pie Chicks Opens Its Bakery In Vineyard Haven – Sampling The Menu

Chrissy and her team bake the menu fresh daily, and you can taste the freshness in every bite. I had the savory hand pie of the day – ricotta, MV Mycological Mushrooms, and onions, from Garden Farm.

I am not such a “sweets” person in the morning. The crust on the pie was so delicious. The ingredients — so fresh and surprisingly light! I wish I had two! The hand pie was $6.00 and worth every piece of flakey crust. Can’t wait to try another flavor combo!

There is also a daily quiche available in two sizes – 6” and a 9”. Thought it best to try that as well for lunch later. It was scrumptious – featuring the mushrooms from MV Mycological, and onions and summer squash from Garden Farm, and cheddar cheese. Simply so yummy. I got the 6” for $10. It is a fantastic grab-and-go option for dinner too!

Pie Chicks is open 7 days a week, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you can, take a moment to enjoy the patio. One of the main reasons Chrissy chose this location was because of this. She loves sitting outside with a good pastry, cup of coffee, and friends (social distance of course). Whether you choose to use the patio or take your Pie Chicks to go – definitely stop by soon! Congratulations to making this dream a reality!
