This is not just any lobster bake, but Doug’s special take, here’s how they describe it “the Bakemaster of Lobster Tales Catering, using a “sealed package” method to gently steam (never boil!) the lobsters, clams, mussels and corn in an above-ground pit over a pile of slow-burning sassafrass. Local seaweed and saltwater contribute an unforgettable briny goodness.”
This process provides a more flavorful lobster experience. Not only do you get a steamed native 1 1/4 lb lobster but you also get clams, mussels, Morning Glory Farm corn, Summer Slaw, and Katama General Store’s Herby Potato Salad, corn bread, and sweet butter.

Ordering is easy, each dinner is $59, Simply click here to order online. You have to place your order by 6:00 p.m. Saturday for the following Monday night pick up at Katama General between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. You are now set up for a memorable Vineyard dinner without effort.

We took ours to State Beach. A couple of beach chairs, beverages, the waves, and the sun setting off in the distance make for the perfect, relaxing, memorable Vineyard evening.
