BREWSTER — A hiker was taken to the hospital Tuesday with a foot laceration suffered while walking on a trail in the Punkhorn Parklands, according to a statement from the Brewster Fire Department.
Emergency personnel responded to the trail at 1:25 p.m. with a rescue boat on Seymour Pond because a lack of cleared paths and overgrowth limited their ability to reach the hiker on foot, the statement said.
The hiker was found 100 feet from the southeast shoreline of the pond, according to the statement.
The hiker was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
