It’s the final countdown to Martha’s Vineyard Magazine’s Best of the Vineyard 2021. Voting ends of April 3rd, 11:59 p.m. This year, there are more categories, more entrants, and a 10 or more category vote. Whether you vote for 10 or in every category, it’s great to celebrate the things you love about the Vineyard. Need some guidance? WE LOVE MV: Point B Realty Picks For Best Of The Vineyard is a good place to start.
Food & Dining is one of our favorites! It has a number of categories and encompasses so many things we love, it’s hard to choose. Here are some of our favorites.
Best Lobster Roll – Some of our favorites include Grace Church, The Lookout Tavern, 19 Raw and The Menemsha Fish Market. The bigger questions is do you like your lobster roll hot or cold?
Best Bar/Pub – When we’re ready for a drink after work, here are some of our favorite haunts – The Atlantic, Alchemy, The Seafood Shanty, 19 Raw, Coop da Ville, Beach Road, and l’etoile.
Best Breakfast – This is a tough category. There are some really good breakfast spots on the Vineyard. We are big fans of 7a, Rosewater, Little House Cafe, Art Cliff, Waterside and the Black Dog Tavern.
There are a number of options under food and dining! Have fun with these! It’s the hardest because of all the great choices! Good luck to everyone!
Martha’s Vineyard is renowned for its natural beauty, and the Great Outdoors let’s your favorite outdoor spots the chance to shine.
Best Beach – People are very particular about their beaches. Some people are either Up-Island or Down-Island and some love all beaches. A couple of our favorites include South Beach, Lambert’s Cove, North Bluff Beach, Norton Point Beach, and Quansoo.
Best Nature Walk – There are so many incredible hikes and trails all throughout the Island. From bucolic windy trails mid-island to trails that lead you so some of the most stunning beaches, the Vineyard has it all. Here are some of our favorites: Cedar Tree Neck; Sheriff’s Meadow Sanctuary; Black Water Pond Reservation; and Fulling Mill Brook Preserve.
Best Sailing Charter – If you can, we highly recommend that you see the Vineyard from the water. Whether you motor past the Cliffs or sail past Lambert’s Cove or through Edgartown Harbor, there is nothing else like it. We have had really wonderful experiences with Catboat Charters, Alewife Charters, Mad Max and for the kiddos, Martha’s Vineyard Pirate Adventures is a must.
There is nothing like a little retail therapy on the island. Here, you will find some shops that are so full of character and special items that you can only find here. A number of places have been around for years, but there are some great newcomers too.
Best New Store Business – This is my favorite category. It’s so nice to see the new businesses that have opened since last year. It’s exciting to find a new favorite. Some businesses that have opened their “doors” include Tangerine, Sideline, Juniper, Sea Legs, Salt Rock Chocolates, and the Ruel Gallery.
Best Art Gallery – Art is so abundant on Martha’s Vineyard, and the galleries on the Island are wonderful places to shop. From traditional New England scenes to modern art to larger than life sculptures, the galleries here have it. Some of our favorites include North Water Street, Eisenhauer Gallery, Crossroads Gallery, Martha’s Vineyard Glassworks, and the Field Gallery.
Best Gift Shop – This is a tough category to choose one winner. There are a number of places that are my go-to shops on-Island for gifts and fun things for me too. Here are a couple of our favorites – Juniper, Rainy Day, Portobello Road, and Middletown Nursery.
This is it – we’ve finally made it to the Services category. Why is this so exciting? You can vote for Point B Realty here.
Best Real Estate Company – The island has a number of great real estate companies, but they don’t have the Point B Realty Difference. From our commitment to supporting community businesses, to our dedication and professionalism that we provide our clients in all aspects of real estate, to our support of island non-profits through philanthropic endeavors, Point B Realty is committed to making a difference on and for Martha’s Vineyard.
As an independent boutique real estate brokerage, Point B Realty has been honored to named Best Real Estate Company on the Vineyard for the past six years. It’s recognition that has really made a difference for us and we would be so grateful for your support this year. Vote here.

In 2020, the event scene looked a lot different than in previous years. However, a number of organizations were able to pivot and still have a presence on the Vineyard.
Best Off-Season Event or Best Charity Event – Point B Realty’s annual holiday fundraiser, the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite shifted to an outdoor event this year with Teddies Around Town. The fundaiser is nominated for Best Charity Event and Best Off-Season Event. This year, we had our best fundraising drive yet, raising almost $50,000 for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys and Girls Club, bringing our 10-year total to more than $275,000 to help fight childhood hunger and food insecurity on Martha’s Vineyard.

Best Family Activity – The Island offers a diverse selection of family friendly activities. Some of our favorites include Island Alpaca, Kayaking at Felix Neck and walking the grounds there as well, and The Cove mini-golf. We hope that more activities are available for this year.
Best Radio Station – You would be surprised just how many radio stations are listed in this category. But for us, the station that is synonymous with the Vineyard is WMVY Radio, channel 88.7.
