In this week’s podcast episode of Shed: Conversations About Race, host Eric Adams talks to Angella Henry, whose son DJ Henry was killed by police in Pleasantville, N.Y in 2010. DJ was 21 years old.
In the aftermath, Angella and her husband Danroy, seasonal residents of the Vineyard, began the DJ Henry Dream Fund to financially help underserved youth in Massachusetts. On Thursday, August 5, Seth Meyers hosts a fundraising benefit for the organization, and Vineyard youth specifically, called Comedy for a Cause at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs.
