Hail, hail, the gang’s all here. Barbara Pope Peckham, famous for her many years in Oak Bluffs, has returned from the Midwest to visit for one month. She is accompanied by her daughter Jennifer and Jennifer’s huband Jerry. She returns home next Monday. Then, son Doug and Sharon visit for one week. After that, Jon and Helena come by. I am hoping to book a visit with her. What a wonderful woman.

Holly Nadler is back! And her lovely son.

Great news! Heather Goff and Bill O’Callaghan were married last Sunday in an intimate wedding in Chilmark that was attended by family and friends. How wonderful! What a treat.

Jo-Ann Murphy, Steve Harding and Woody Wlliams want to thank all of you who showed up for the 9/11 memorial at the Tisbury Fire Station.

James Klingensmith is recovering well after surgery. He is still in rehab.

If you see this on time, hasten to the Martha’s Vineyard Museum on Wednesday, Sept. 22 between 4 and 5 p.m. for a reading from the Cleaveland House Poets. The reading will take place in the Rose Styron Garden.

The Martha’s Vineyard Oyster Fest will be held on Sept. 30, Oct. 1 and Oct. 2. New events have been added. Go online to procure your tickets.

The birthday bandwagon pulled along Howie Mariun and James Sashin today. Many happy returns.
