The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.
Jan. 13
Scott F. Warren, 51, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Jan. 10 charges in Oak Bluffs of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation. Bail set at $500 cash and payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for May 12.
Riley S. Jackson, 19, of Edgartown, was arraigned on a Jan. 11 charge in Edgartown of assault and battery on a family or household member. Released with further condition of no abuse of alleged victim. Pretrial hearing scheduled for May 5.
Lenthia T. Lewis Jr., 34, of Chilmark, was arraigned on a Jan. 11 charge in Edgartown of trespassing. Found responsible and sentenced to 12 hours of community service, which was deemed served. Case closed.
Jan. 18
Richard E. O’Connor, 66, was arraigned on Jan. 14 charges in Oak Bluffs of trespassing after notice and disorderly conduct. The defendant was listed as homeless. Pretrial hearing set for April 1.
Edivaldo J. Demoura, 58, of Philadelphia, Pa., was arraigned on Jan. 15 charges in Oak Bluffs of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, driving with a suspended license and driving an unregistered motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing set for Feb. 24.
Ray B. Blanchette, 58, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a Jan. 14 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family or household member. Bail set at $200. Pre-trial hearing set for Feb. 18.
Emily B. Cray, 29, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a Jan. 15 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family or household member. Pretrial hearing set for May 5.
Jan. 20
Jason Miskovsky, 37, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Jan. 20 charges in Edgartown of a second offense of drunken driving and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Pretrial hearing set for May 23.
Thomas R. Wilkins, 27, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on a Jan. 19 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a family or household member. Bail set at $300 and with further conditions to stay away from and have no contact with alleged victim. Pre-trial hearing set for Feb. 18.
Jan. 21
Timothy L. Prescott, 26, of Savannah, Ga. was arraigned on Jan. 20 charges in Edgartown of a second offense of drunken driving, failure to stop for police, operating an unlicensed motor vehicle, concealing the identity of a number plate, and speeding in a specially regulated area. Bail set at $350 with further condition that defendant must contact probation twice a week until pretrial hearing. Pretrial hearing set for Feb. 18.
