Covid vaccine boosters specific to the omicron variant are now available by appointment at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, chief nursing and operations officer Claire Seguin told the Gazette in an email Thursday.
Drive-through appointments for the booster can be scheduled on the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital website. Appointment times for the following week are released Fridays at 4 p.m. Shots can also be administered during already-scheduled regular appointments at the hospital.
The bivalent boosters, which prevent against both the omicron and original strains of covid, are available for those age 12 and up. Both Pfizer and Moderna vaccinations are available.
