The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

Sept. 11

Akiet A. Anderson, 21, who the court lists as homeless, was arraigned on Sept. 10 charges in Vineyard Haven of trespassing, assault and battery, two charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct. Defendant being held at Dukes County Correctional Facility. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 28.

Hunter S. Cottrell, 31, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on April 24 charges in Oak Bluffs of leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Motion to dismiss scheduled for Nov. 27.

Anthony M. Devine, 31, of Oak Bluffs, ws arraigned on Sept. 9 charges in Vineyard Haven of drunken driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop or yield. Defendant released on personal recognizance and payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 20.

Troy D. Lindberg, 27, of Oak Bluffs, was arraigned on Sept. 9 charges in Chilmark of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, drunken driving and a marked lanes violation. Defendant released on personal recognizance and payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 20.

Steven M. Sotolongo, 38, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Sept. 9 charges in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct, threatening to commit a crime and resisting arrest. Defendant released on payment of $150 bail and $150 counsel fee, and with further condition to go to the Gosnold Treatment Center and sign releases or report to probation daily if going to Gosnold doesn’t take place immediately. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 20.

Woody E. Steves, 61, of Chilmark, was arraigned on Sept. 10 charges in Oak Bluffs of intimidating a witness, juror, police or court official, disorderly conduct, attempting to commit a crime, assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery. Defendant released on personal recognizance and with further condition to stay away from the Sand Bar and Grill and Coop de Ville restaurants. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 28.

Sept. 14

Asa C. Ray, 34, who the court lists as homeless, was arraigned on Sept. 12 charges in Vineyard Haven of larceny from a building and larceny under $1,200. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 6.

Sept. 15

Bruno Defigueiredo, 56, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on a Sept. 9 charge in Vineyard Haven of assault and battery on a family or household member. Defendant released on payment of $100 bail and $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 17.

Tanya M. Laplante, 41, of Wilbraham, was arraigned on Sept. 14 charges in Edgartown of vandalizing property and assault on a family or household member. Defendant released on personal recognizance and payment of $150 counsel fee. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Nov. 20.
