  • Your Boston Harbor Islands guide for the 2025 season

Ahead, discover travel deals for food, transportation, hotels, and activities across the region this June.

Transportation

If you are you a flexible traveler, then a last-minute cruise out of Boston with Holland America Line can save you money. The Seattle-based cruise line’s standby program means hopeful cruisers can take roundtrip Boston cruises for $99 per person per day. There are more than a dozen sailings from Boston to choose from.

Travelers can save money on ferry tickets to the Boston Harbor Islands this season. Weekday ferry tickets are $10 for Massachusetts residents (a $15 savings), or folks can get a discount code from a local library for 50% off tickets for up to four people.

Amtrak is offering 20% off Downeaster fares for all trains on any day due to a tie replacement project that will result in service modifications and minor delays. No promo code is needed and the deal is valid for travel April 1 to June 30.

Travelers can explore Nova Scotia and Maine for less money when bringing a group aboard The Cat, a high-speed car ferry in Bar Harbor, Maine. The One, Two, Free deal allows travelers who book a reservation for one vehicle and two passengers to enjoy free passage for up to three additional passengers (a savings of up to $630). The deal is available until Oct. 15.

Restaurants

Find out where to get $1 oysters every day of the week in Boston, at places like Publico Street Bistro & Garden to State Street Provisions to Trillium Fort Point.

Get 15% off lunch at The Vermilion Club in Boston all summer long by downloading this Lunch Pass. The pass, valid between June 1 and Aug. 31, is good for lunch only, excludes alcohol, and can be used multiple times.

National Donut Day is June 6, so Kane’s Donuts is giving customers a medium cup of Stella Blue Coffee (iced or hot) for free at its Boston and Saugus locations with the purchase of a dozen donuts.

Raising Cane’s is celebrating dads this Father’s Day with a buy-one-get-one-free box combo (which typically costs $10.99) on June 15-16 for members of the restaurant’s Caniac Club. Here’s how to become a member.

Heading to Burlington, Vermont? Travelers who buy a Greater Burlington Taste Card can get a buy-one-one-get-one-free entree deal at 15 of the region’s restaurants. The card, which costs $30, is good through Oct. 31.

Book a stay at Great Wolf Lodge, which has locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut, by June 6 and and get up to 30% off the rate for stays through Oct. 2. Interested travelers must use the code SLIDE when booking.

Attention residents of Rhode Island and New England: Hotel Viking in Newport is taking 20% off the best available rate for travelers who live in Rhode Island or a surrounding state during its New England Neighbor promotion.

Celebrate Pride Month at Kimpton Marlowe Hotel in Cambridge with its Wicked Proud package: two Pride cocktails, complimentary use of hotel bikes, kayaks, and Polaroid cameras, and a $20 donation to the Boston Alliance of LGBTQ Youth (BAGLY) when travelers book an overnight stay. In addition, $1 of the sale of Pride cocktails at the hotel’s Bambara Kitchen & Bar will go to BAGLY.

The Lodge on the Cove in Kennebunkport, Maine is planning the perfect beach day for travelers who book the hotel’s Beach Day package through Aug. 29, which includes 10% off the stay, a packed lunch (a choice of a wrap or sandwich, chips, cookie, an apple, and a bottle of water), sunscreen, and a beach towels and chairs.

The Rooftop at the Revere Hotel is offering a special cabana package, which includes a discounted room rate with a private cabana rental. A minimum two-night stay is required and guests must spend $400 minimum on food and beverages. Each cabana accommodates four to six people.

Museums / Attractions / Activities

Catch an outdoor movie for free at Athletes Park at Boston Landing. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and relax while watching Mean Girls on June 12 and Happy Gilmore on June 26. The movies begin at 7 p.m. Registration is required. 

Have fun across New Hampshire and beyond this season for less money with the Breathe New Hampshire Fun Pass 2025 book. The book costs $40 and includes coupons for discounts and free admission to amusement parks, water parks, historical sites, museums, zoos, and more. The deals are good for the calendar year. Fathers bowl for free on June 15, Father’s Day, at Wamesit Lanes in Tewksbury.

Get a workout at Sweatapalooza in Boston’s Seaport on June 21, a free fitness festival by Seaport Sweat that will include a live DJ, pop-ups, and giveaways.

The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) in Boston offers free admission every Thursday night from 5 to 9 p.m. Advanced tickets are recommended and become available at 10 a.m. the morning of the visit.
