The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.

April 15

Osvaldo D. Alves, 40, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Dec. 23, 2021 charges in Edgartown of a marked lanes violation and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Defendant entered pleas of not guilty. Found not responsible of charge of marked lanes violation. Charge of operating with a suspended license dismissed on recommendation of Probation Department.

George A. Baird, 45, of Aquinnah, was arraigned on an April 11 charge in Oak Bluffs of disorderly conduct. Defendant released on personal recongition. Pre-trial hearing set for May 6.

Janair Bento, 39, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Oct. 26, 2021 charges in Oak Bluffs of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a first offense of use of an electronic device while operating a motor vehicle. Defendant found not responsible on charge of first offense of use of an electronic device while operating a motor vehicle. Charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle to be dismissed if court costs of $100 are paid forthwith. Case closed.

Ryan Camacho, 20, of West Tisbury, was arraigned on a Jan. 27 charge in West Tisbury of assault and battery. Defendant released on personal recognition and payment of $150 counsel fee. Pre-trial hearing scheduled for June 23.

Ryan Camacho, 20, who the court listed as homeless, was arraigned on an April 8 charge in Oak Bluffs of assault and battery on a family or household member. Bail set at $500. Defendant released with further condition of no abuse of alleged victim. Pre-trial hearing set for June 23.

Sirlei Dasilva, 41, of Edgartown was arraigned on Nov. 11, 2021 charges in West Tisbury of a marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Defendant entered plea of not guilty and was released on personal recognition. Discovery complaince and jury selection set for June 30.

Ivete A. Dasilva, 58, of Vineyard Haven was arraigned on Nov. 30, 2021 charges in Oak Bluffs of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to stop or yield and negligent operation of a motor vhicle. Pre-trial hearing scheduled for June 30.

Jesiel Cabral DeAmorim, 45, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Oct. 25, 2021 charges in Vineyard Haven of operating an unregistered motor vehicle and a violation to conceal number plate identity. Defendant found not repsonsible on charge of operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Charge of concealing a number plate identity dismissed on recommendation of Probation Department. Case closed.

Mercer M. Kelly, 22, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on April 11 charges in Oak Bluffs of violating an abuse prevention order and possession of a Class A drug (fentanyl). Mittimus issued in lieu of bail set at $200 cash and $2,000 bond. If defendant posts bail, defendant to be released on condition of stay away from and no contact with alleged victim. Discovery compliance and jury selection scheduled for May 19.

Pamela Lauriano, 25, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on an April 11 charge in Oak Bluffs of possession of a Class E drug (Gabapentin). Defendant released on payment of $200 bail and was advised of the right to a drug exam. Posted bail may be returned. Pre-trial hearing set for June 16.

Diana M. Lozano, 38, of Aquinnah, was arraigned on Jan. 11 charges in West Tisbury of operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, operating a motor vehicle without an inspection sticker and a motor vehicle lights violation. Defendant found not responsble on charges of no inspection sticker and a motor vehicle lights violation. Charge of operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration dismissed upon request of the Commonwealth. Case closed.

Diana Lozano, 38, of Aquinnah, was arraigned on an April 10 charge of larceny under $1,200. Bail set at $200. Pre-trial hearing set for June 16.

Richard E. O’Connor, 67, whom the court lists as homeless, was arraigned on six April 10 charges in Edgartown of breaking and entry with the intent to commit a misdemeanor, four April 10 charges in Edgartown of larceny under $1,200 and one charge of breaking and entering during nighttime with the intent to commit a felony. Defendant released on personal recognition. Pre-trial hearing set for June 17.

April 22

William M. Caffrey, 59, of Edgartown was arraigned on Jan. 13 charges in Oak Bluffs of abandoning a motor vehicle and having no inspection sticker. Defendant found not responsible on charge of no inspection sticker. Charge of abandoning motor vehicle dismissed on recommendation of Probation Department. Case closed.
