Black cats Smokey and Bandit have been adopted together. We’re so happy for these wonderful brothers. And we have our fingers crossed for Teddy the hound dog. He’s been spending time with prospective owners and is now with them on a trial basis.
Our pets of the week are brothers Peter and Teddy, 10-month-old, black male rabbits. They’ve been hand-raised, and are litter box-trained. Both are very friendly and love to be held and cuddled. And they’re happy living indoors or out.
We also have a stunning 13-year-old, long-haired female cat named Jasmine. Her eyes are green and her coloring is dilute calico. She is very sweet and affectionate, but a little shy in her new surroundings.
Mia is also 13. She’s black and as sweet as can be. She’s recovering from an injured paw but is also ready to move right into your home.
Evie Mc Chi Chi is a black, Dutch lop-eared, female rabbit. She is a princess and comes with a three-tier cage/house on wheels that is easy to assemble. She is friendly and loves to be pet and have her ears gently played with but she needs a little time to get used to you before feeling comfortable with petting and handling. Evie is currently with her family so please contact the shelter if you would like to make an appointment to meet her.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit.
