Edgartown police, fire and EMS responded to a single-car crash Saturday morning off the Edgartown-West Tisbury Road.
Sgt. Michael Snowden said the call came just after 8 a.m. for the accident, which occurred between the Vineyard Golf Club and McIntosh Motors.
Sergeant Snowden said when officers arrived on the scene they found a single occupant in the car who had sustained minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not immediately available, including the extent of injuries to the driver.
“We’re in the middle of investigating and seeing what we’re going to do with any charges,” Sergeant Snowden said.
Early morning traffic temporarily backed up in both directions on the road, while emergency responders cleared the scene.
