Have you been to Bad Martha Farmer’s Brewery this season? If not, it’s time for a visit. There are lots of new things happenings at this Edgartown hotspot.
WE LOVE MV: BAD MARTHA ARTISAN PIZZA
Bad Martha’s Farmer’s Brewery has outdoor space that lends itself perfectly for social distance fun. This year, you can even get pizza at Bad Martha’s! The cheese plates and veggie plates are still options, but having pizza is a game changer. Saying let’s grab pizza and beers at Bad Martha’s makes it a great lunch or dinner place. Everyone eats pizza right!
When we went, we were a little boring. We ordered a cheese pizza (half no sauce) and half cheese/half veggie plate. There were kiddos to feed. However, next time, I plan to get the charcuterie plate and either the Beer Bacon Pizza or the Fire Roasted Veggie Pizza! The pizza was a hit and it was great to be able to add a little healthy food too!
Here are some fun Bad Martha pizza facts. These are not just pizzas, they are artisan brick oven pizzas. Founder and CEO of Bad Martha, Jonathan Blum, has spent 3 years perfecting the tomato sauce, which is made from scratch each day, along with the cheese blend (perfect blend of whole milk mozzarella and pecorino). They mean business with these pizzas!
WE LOVE MV: SOMETHING IS BREWING AT BAD MARTHA’S
More new happenings at Bad Marthas – there is a new Master Brewer, Bryan Link, who was previous brewing at Lord Hobo (personal favorite). This new brewer is definitely having fun creating new Bad Martha flavors including their Summer sour, a Strawberry Rhubarb Sour, which is tart, delicious, and a ruby red color.
For IPA lovers (like me), there are several to choose from. The FinFolk IPA and Double Happiness are both New England style IPAs, unfiltered. Cal, the brewer in Edgartown, recently picked hops the hops from the patio and currently brewing their Patio IPA. It should be on tap very soon and will be sure to sell out. For me, a flight is always a good option!
