The vice presidential debate between Vice President Mike Pence and Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris is Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. It is the only scheduled debate between the vice presidential hopefuls and will be hosted by USA TODAY Washington Bureau chief Susan Page.

The vice presidential debate will be divided into nine segments of approximately 10 minutes each, with both Harris and Pence also having two minutes apiece for each answer. The moderator will use the remainder of the time in each segment to continue the discussion.
USA TODAY’s nationwide team of journalists will provide facts and context on screen as Pence and Harris debate.
Two more presidential debates are scheduled for Oct. 15 in Miami and Oct. 22 in Nashville, Tennessee.
